Position Overview
As a General Worker (Automotive Parts / Warehouse) you will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations. You will assist in receiving, handling, storing, and dispatching automotive parts; manage stock and inventory; ensure warehouse cleanliness; and support loading/unloading tasks. The role is physically active, requires reliability and teamwork, and is ideal for candidates willing to contribute to a fast-paced warehousing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your typical tasks will include:
- Receive and process incoming shipments of automotive parts and supplies: unloading delivery trucks, checking goods against packing slips, inspecting items for damage, and verifying quantities.
- Sort, store, and organize parts and materials according to appropriate storage locations, size and type — ensuring efficient stock retrieval when needed.
- Prepare and complete orders for dispatch: picking parts from stock, packing and labelling items correctly, wrapping or palletizing where needed, and preparing shipments for delivery or dispatch.
- Maintain inventory accuracy: update stock records, log incoming and outgoing items, report discrepancies or damaged items, and assist in periodic inventory checks
- Keep warehouse clean, safe and well-organized: clear debris, maintain walkways and storage areas, comply with safety and hygiene protocols, and ensure a tidy working environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments onto delivery vehicles or trucks, using appropriate tools/equipment (manual handling, pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment if required).
- Work under supervision: follow instructions from warehouse supervisors or managers, adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
We welcome applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred — but not strictly required if you have relevant work experience or a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour: lifting, carrying, moving boxes or parts, standing or walking for prolonged periods, bending, reaching, etc.
- Reliable, punctual, honest and disciplined — you must demonstrate responsibility, integrity, and commitment to assigned tasks.
- Good teamwork and communication skills — ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisors, follow instructions carefully, and contribute positively to a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours — warehouse and logistics environments sometimes require early starts, overtime or extended shifts depending on demand.
- Basic literacy and numeracy — ability to understand packing slips, count stock, and record inventory or shipment data.
- Safety-conscious attitude — willingness to adhere to workplace safety protocols, handle parts and materials carefully, and report hazards or issues.
- Previous warehouse or general labour experience is a plus — but not mandatory; we value attitude and willingness to learn.
What We’re Looking For
We believe success in this role depends more on character and work ethic than on perfect credentials. We encourage applications from individuals who:
- Are hardworking and motivated, willing to commit to their tasks diligently every day
- Show dependability and integrity — someone you can trust to arrive on time and follow instructions responsibly
- Are team players — supportive of colleagues, open to supervision, and ready to help maintain a positive workplace
- Take pride in their work — whether it’s stacking shelves, organizing parts, loading trucks, or keeping the warehouse clean
- Are flexible and adaptable — prepared to handle varying tasks, workloads and schedules as operational demands shift
Even if you don’t meet every ideal requirement — but you are ready to work, learn, and contribute — we strongly encourage you to apply.

Why This Role Matters
Warehouse and logistics workers are the backbone of supply‑chain and distribution operations. Without committed, efficient general workers, automotive parts cannot be received, stored, dispatched — delays happen, orders backlog, and business suffers. As a General Worker (Automotive / Warehouse) with Techbridge Recruitment, you play a foundational role: ensuring timely supply of parts, maintaining warehouse order and safety, and supporting deliveries that keep businesses running smoothly.
This is a hands‑on, practical opportunity — ideal for individuals who prefer physical work, enjoy being active, and want to earn while gaining practical skills. For many, it can become a stepping stone to long-term work, skill development, or further opportunities within logistics, warehousing, or automotive supply chain sectors.
We don’t just need qualifications — we need dedication, reliability, integrity, and effort. If that sounds like you, then this could be the opportunity you’re looking for.
